How To See In The Spiritual Realms

When you talk about How To See In The Spirit, You are talking about an operation of the Holy Spirit. It takes a spiritual man to see in the spirit. We can't begin diving into depths now till we lay the foundation. To see in the spirit, we need a gift of the Spirit to do so. And that's the gift of Discerning of spirits. Discerning of spirits is not the gift of Discernment. Discernment has to do with the ability to judge right from wrong and to differentiate good from evil. However, Discerning of spirits is the spirit dimension of the gift. Discerning of spirits is objective. It has an object. The object to be discerned is spirits, So Discerning of spirits focuses on spiritual activities in the realm of the spirit. BECAUSE THE GIFT OF DISCERNING of spirits is one of the more perplexing gifts, let me clarify some of my language about seeing in the spirit. No believer has the gift of seeing in the spirit because there is no such thing. The gift that is actually functioning when someone says that he or she is seeing in the spirit is the gift of discerning of spirits.

1Corinthains.12:10 - to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.

Spirits can be identified in the realm. With this gift of the spirit, You will identify the spirits you see when you are caught up in the realm. Discerning of spirits is a true gift of the Holy Spirit found in 1 Corinthians 12:10 What is the gift of DISCERNING of spirits The gift of discerning of spirits is a communication gift through which the Holy Spirit makes us aware of our spiritual atmosphere and environment around us. Discerning of spirits is the ability to see into the spirit world and to perceive the operation of that spirit world. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1 NKJV) You can run a text to know the spirit in operation somewhere and you do so with the gift of Discerning of spirits. Being sensitive to the Holy Spirit will allow you to discern between His voice and the enemy’s voice. That discernment can mean all the difference in the world for you and those around you. 1John.4:2- By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, This scripture services as a litmus text to check the spirit that is not from God. Knowing the Spirit of God is the key you and I need as we “try” or “test” the spirits. Knowing the Holy Spirit enables you to recognize other spirits. As you know Him better, you will be able to know the operation of other spirits, for truth is found only in the Holy Spirit. If you know Him, you will know them, because you must compare them to the truth found in God’s Word and His Spirit. Categories of Spirits that you can Discern: 

  1. The Holy Spirit 

1. The Spirit Of God The gift of Discerning of spirits can dictate the operations of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes you go to a place, You might not like the method of ministry there but in your spirit man, you can Discern the activities of the Spirit of God. That is the gift in operation. With this, You can know when someone prophesied according to the leading of the flesh and when he is prophesying according to the spirit. You enter into an atmosphere and all of a sudden you feel the presence of the holy spirit, that's the operation of the spirit. When it comes to how spiritual gifts work, you can prophesy without "Seeing ".... But you won't Discern "without " seeing. It is the sight that makes it Discerning of spirits. That’s how it works. 

 2. A Demonic spirit. One day, Paul and Silas was walking and a girl that was possessed with an evil of divination was following them and was shouting, "these are holy men of God, hear them!" The message she was delivering was correct but the spirit begin her was a familiar spirit. It was with the gift of Discerning of spirits that Paul and Silas turned and rebuked that girl and she was set free. What is familiar spirit? It is a that patterns it's manifestation according to that of the Holy Spirit in order to deceive people that what they see manifest is from God. Familiar spirit mimic the operations of the spirit of God. Those that are not yet operating in Discerning of spirits might find it difficult to differentiate between an operation of a familiar spirit and that of the Holy Spirit because they will look alike. Is someone following me? I went to a place and a woman was giving word of knowledge. Suddenly I knew it was by a familiar spirit because what she was saying is not consistent with the word of God. Acts.16:16 -Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling. Acts.16:17 - This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, "These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation." Acts.16:18 - And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her." And he came out that very hour. Acts.16:19 - But when her masters saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to the authorities. Remember, Discerning of spirits is not for judging people's character or behavior. It is for Discerning of SPIRITS. Paul was followed by a woman who was actually speaking the truth. Some believers might have said she was of God, but Paul rebuked the evil spirit and commanded it to come out of her. That a spirit is saying the truth does not make it a spirit from God. Devils can say the truth also. But they do so in order to deceive you.

  3. Angelic or Heavenly beings. One day, I was on the phone with a friend, as we were gisting, suddenly the atmosphere in the room changed. I Discerned the presence of an Angel. I told her that angels are here. She said that the atmosphere in her room too changed. Then we began to pray and the Lord opened my eyes and I saw the angel standing in the room. That is Discerning angelic spirits. 2Kings.6:15 - And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?" 2Kgs.6:16 - So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." 2Kings.6:17 - And Elisha prayed, and said, "LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. After Elisha prayed, the eyes of the man opened and he saw heavenly beings. With the gift of Discerning of spirits, you can see and interact with heavenly creatures. The city of Dothan was completely surrounded by well-trained enemy forces. The prophet Elisha had the God-given ability to see into the spiritual realm, but his servant Gehazi did not. Elisha prayed for his assistant, and God opened his eyes to see the Almighty’s spiritual forces amassed on the hillsides around them! If you have ever been to heaven in a vision or in a trance, one thing you will realize is that you don't introduce yourself to anyone and no one introduces themselves to you because it is a realm of "KNOWING" It is a realm in which the operation of Discerning of spirits is highly active. So when you meet someone, you will automatically know who are you talking to. If you meet father Abraham, You will know he is the one. If you meet Adam or Enoch or Noah, You will know them automatically because Discerning of SPIRITS is highly active in that realm. I have meet some people in that realm. And I know them automatically.I saw Apostle Paul. I knew him.I saw Apostle Peter. I knew him Automatically! Because of Discerning of SPIRITS. If you meet any of the 24 elders in heaven, You will know. No body might need to introduce you.That's the gift of Discerning of spirits.The ability to identify spirit entities. 

 4. The Human Spirit. Read: :Guidelines for Operating in the Gift of Discerning of Spirits In conclusion for tonight, let's look at the last category of spirits you can identify in the spirit city. The Human Spirit Jeremiah 28:1-3 and 15-17 also points out how the prophet Jeremiah discerned that a prophecy given by Hananiah regarding the sacred vessels was spoken from the false prophet’s own spirit, rather than from God’s. One day, I was praying and fell into a trance. I saw a man. One of my uncles. He has been sick for over 4 years. He walked into my room on a white garments. He was smiling and looked so full of joy. Then he waved me good bye, walked out of the door and left the compound. Immediately I came out of the trance. I wanted to start praying for him and bind every spirit of death. But the Lord said to me.. Don't pray for him. His time is up. Allow him to go rest. Then I knew that he was going to die. And the Lord told me that no one else will die that year but the man alone. That year, he died. See, when you see someone in the path to eternity full of joy and happiness, know that his soul has been saved. I never knew him as a born again Christian but from that trance, it means that he got saved along the way. This is an example of Discerning the human spirit. Therefore, the spirit of God, the demonic spirit, angelic or heavenly spirits, and the human spirit can all be discerned. God bless you all.
