Don't preach earthly riches in Jesus name

DON'T PREACH EARTHLY RICHES IN JESUS NAME. HE NEVER OUTRIGHTLY PROMISES HIS FOLLOWERS EARTHLY RICHES.

Wanting to be rich is the desire of every human, but it is not a goal in Christianity. Jesus never outrightly promised any of his followers' earthly riches.

The moment a Christian makes earthly riches a goal, he will most assuredly deviate from God; in devotion, commitment, etc.. because the god of earthly riches is mammon and he will demand worship of time, efforts, etc.. taking you away from your devotion. Don't ever preach or pursue being rich. What is attainable in Jesus is "supply" and supply is kingdom purpose-based. God will not give only you 5000 loaves of bread without a greater purpose for it.

 "He was poor, that we may be rich" yes! But rich in what? And what were we poor in? Material possessions? No! We were poor in spirit, glory, and life..the things Jesus called true riches.

Look at these two scriptures:

Revelations 3:17

You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked.

Revelation 2:9

I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

The first was a church that based their spirituality on how much earthly possession they had and by that, they entered into error, and when Jesus wrote to them, he said they were poor! Whilst the second was a physically poor church but Jesus called them rich.

We don't preach earthly riches in the name of Jesus, that is not the bible pattern! We preach salvation and obedience to God through the gospel in the name of Jesus.

Can a Christian get rich?

Yes! But riches are never the pursuit! Every time the scriptures talk about our earthly needs, it dealt with it from the perspective of "daily sustenance" and what you need to sustain you and your immediate purpose. Scriptures teaches you not to try to amass wealth for tomorrow, but to daily trust him to faithfully give you what you need for the day. 

Proverbs 30:8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me;

    give me neither poverty nor riches,

    but give me only my daily bread.

Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.

Psalm 37:16-17

Matthew 6:19-21

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Jesus always distanced himself from amassing aimless earthly wealth and in truth wealth outside your need and purpose will only lead you into becoming a beast of pride, greed, and a slave of mammon. Jesus was not rich, he was not poor, he simply had a daily supply of what he needed for life and assignment. So there will be days where you will have plenty, but other days you may not have plenty as your assignment demands, but you must learn that Godliness with Contentment is great gain.

Everything you have at the moment must serve a purpose in God, and not spite others.

 Personally, I have a big house, but I don't stay there alone, my house is not for me but for the Lord so more than 14 brethren stay with me there. Now in my house, I don't have a car, but one of the brethren has a car so guess what, the car serves us all because that brother also being a kingdom man gave the car for the use of all in the house.. this is the Apostolic pattern, with this we all lack nothing. Why do you glory in 50 cars? Trust me you have become a slave to mammon but you just don't know it.
