Having a good marriage is not by luck, there are many people who think that this marriage thing is by luck, is like picking a box and you don't know what's inside the box that it is only when you get home that you will know what is inside, that's a lazy man's approach.

*Knowing yourself: Who are you, what kind of person are you. Knowing yourself is crucial when picking the person you want to marry. Many people have not even discovered themselves and they are talking about marriage. Your single years have certain benefits and one of the benefits is to discover yourself.

From the day you got married, your life will never be the same and it can be positive or negative, so those single years are like a gift God gave you to study yourself. Finding yourself will help you to know the qualities you are looking out for when finding a life partner.

*Discover your purpose: Most of the people I know, found their purpose before they got married, your single years are not meant to be a waste, is a period to find what you really want to do with your life.

Knowing my purpose made it so much easier to find my wife, you need a purpose for life before you pick a life partner i.e you need to have a life before you find a life partner.

The journey to finding a life partner is first finding yourself, you must first be the right person before the right person.

*Don't be desperate: Many people are desperate to marry because they have not found themselves.  when you find yourself, you will know your worth and value. it is something that is not valuable that you will push out and it is very hard to find something that is valuable. Know your value, nobody will increase your value so hold your value.

When you as a woman, you are chasing after a man, my dear you are reducing your value because you are too desperate. It is your job to protect your value so no need for desperation.

Finding the right spouse is not by power or might, just find yourself, find your purpose, and find God.
